3's a treat

time flies so fast, but no matter how long ago events had taken place, some of them seem like it was just yesterday. it was 15 months ago (dec 2006) when the 3 of us first met in penang and we hit it at an instant - until now i still find it amazing. i still remember vividly all the fun times we shared from the meteor garden photo in batu ferringhi to the speed eating of various fruits in tropical fruit farm. who would forget the arcade games, the happy feet movie, the manila girl waitress, the 3-on-3 basketball game, the cherry knot, the drinking of milk in a bar, the tea time, the hot pot --- o man! i'm running out of breast (i mean breath) just enumerating them. it was incredible how we were able to create such wonderful memories in such a short span of time. i still remember just a few hours before going to the airport, we talked about how we spent quality time together in a matter of days and how it felt like we built them for years. i guess the difference is that we all agreed to store these memories in our long term memory banks, so that we don't forget and can only reminisce.

that's exactly what we were holding-on to the time we flew back to our respective countries. uncertainties of when or where the next fun times will be. HL and i knew that we were gonna meet after a month for the KK trek, but other than that, we just said we'll keep in touch.

fast forward ... who would have thought that HL and will have a follow-up KK trip early this year. and the original BJ trip that HL and I were planning in order to visit yang this year didnt work out 'coz HL got an assignment in the US, but i never expected that i'll get to visit yang myself. so instead of a 3-way BJ trip ... yang and i ended up doing 1-on-1 BJ trip. Hahahaha! I should not use 'BJ trip' -- it doesnt sound right. HAHAHAHA!!! (according to HL, BJ trip is the perfect term to use. he just loves hearing this ... brings inexplainable tingling sensations to his spine) HAHAHAHA!!! and in a few weeks, i'll be flying to the US for another biz trip, which means HL and I get to hangout again.

these are all great things! the universe really has its way to work things out.

but one thing i noticed is that it's always me with either one of them, and i just cant wait for the time that it'll be the 3 of us hanging out again. that would be perfect!
